“Walking Dead” spoilers should start rolling in more often as the fourth season of the show is now only two months away. With a new showrunner, fans wonder what to expect and while talking to Coming Soon on Aug. 20, Executive Producer David Alpert had some thoughts.
While not giving away any major spoilers, Alpert said that we should prepare to see a new “evolution” in the walkers, the zombies from the hit horror television series. Up to now, the zombies have been a threat to the survivors, but they are more of a background threat while people like The Governor and Merle were the real evil beings that threatened the good people.
Now, Alpert hints that the walkers themselves might become more of a threat as he said there are new ones that will threaten our survivors. However, he also made sure to let people know that the better stories – the tales of living humans hurting each other – will remain strong.
Alpert said that the possibility of civilization will be dangled in front of characters and that will lead to more unthinkable and desperate acts on the part of the living.
Finally, he emphasized what everyone who worked on the show from the start has always said – no one is safe. In what really isn’t “Walking Dead” spoilers to anyone who watches the show, Alpert said there will be a lot of people joining the ranks of the dead this season and that no one is untouchable.
Season four of “The Walking Dead” premieres on Oct. 13, 2013 on AMC.
