A new Walking Dead rumor has hit the net and it involves a certain True Blood star. Sources are now speculating that Rutina Wesley may be starring as Michonne! The news popped up on a Walking Dead fan forum, but the original source is considered to be reliable.
Readers of The Walking Dead’s comic book series consider Michonne to be a fan favorite. She is a sword-wielding human who drags two walkers in chains with her as she travels. She cut off the arms and lower jaws of her boyfriend and his best friend when they became walkers to keep them from infecting her.
If the rumor is true, what does this mean for Rutina’s role as Tara in True Blood? Season four left viewers wondering if Tara would live or die after having been shot by Debbie Pelt. Although she took a nasty gunshot wound to the head, it’s entirely possible that one of the many vampires in town will show up to save the day.
Rutina has confirmed that she will be returning to True Blood in season five, but what form she will take is unknown. Tara may be limited to flashbacks, or she may appear as a ghost, a vampire or a number of other possible scenarios.
According to an actor who was cast as a Walking Dead zombie, Michonne will first appear on the series in the season two finale.
This news is still a rumor and neither Rutina nor the show have confirmed its validity.
