The TV-land rumor mill says that Sunday night's episode of AMC's "The Walking Dead" is going to end with another big cast death, according to E! Online. They also alleged Friday that two cast members will rise to the occasion in their respective camps, with one being more successful than the other in their new role.
From the preview clips, and last week's ending, that appears to be Andrea in Woodbury, and Glenn in the prison. So it's a good guess that one of those two will be on the wrong end of some serious head trauma by the end of Sunday night. And presents so many possibilities.
In one preview clip, Glenn is seen stepping up and suggesting the prison camp go on the attack against The Governor before he has a chance to strike, catching him off guard. This is the first major strategizing we've seen from him since Season 1 in the mall in Atlanta, when Glenn showed his ingenuity at planning... but that was an escape. But if the prison gang goes on the attack, heavy casualties may ensue, and if Glenn fell, that would provide some nice dramatic irony.
(You gotta try to think like a writer to predict these things, right?)
On the other hand, Andrea already showed last week she has the qualities to make her a leader of Woodbury, but that very strength may lead to her downfall with a power hungry psycho like The Governor. He doesn't seem too inclined to share his power with anyone, even his girl toy.
But, if her stint at Woodbury should fall to pieces and she returns to the prison group, there's a great plot potential in having Andrea start shacking up with Rick and become the new Queen Bee after the demise of holier-than-thou Lori. She'd be a worthy successor rather than that silly little girl of Herschel's who is obviously developing a crush on him.
Of course, if Rick keeps talking to and seeing ghosts of the dead, even being the hottest man left standing is going to make him a hard sell for the ladies.
Anyway, if I had to call it, I'm going to say Glenn is going down. I'm not sure why, but maybe there are just so many plot twists that could come from that, like for instance, a potential meltdown between sisters if Maggie loses Glenn then switches her affections over to Rick.
Is your head spinning yet with the possibilities? Or is just me, because, sorry as I am to admit it, I just discovered this series this weekend, doing a three-day marathon to catch up. I didn't mean to watch them all straight through -- but once you start watching, you just can't stop.
All I can say is thank goodness I caught on during the third season and not the sixth like "Supernatural." That was a two-week marathon.
So, do you think someone is going to die this week, and if so, who? Leave a comment below. Also check out a few more photos from episode 310 on my blog, Every Night is Halloween.
