A “Walking Dead” spinoff is in the works and why not, the show has been one of the most popular to ever grace the TV sets around the country. According to the Huffington Post on Sept. 16, the spinoff show will have “The Walking Dead” roaming other areas of the earth.
It is not known if they will use a setting in another part of the U.S. or if they will actually venture out globally to do this show. All that is known at this time is there’s a companion show for “The Walking Dead” in the works with a premiere target date sometime in 2015.
The same creative folks from “The Walking Dead” will work on this spinoff, which will keep the spinoff in sync with what the fans know about the dead who walk the earth already. The back story of the zombies and how to kill them is complex, but since the fans are already acquainted with the particulars, the spinoff won't need too much explaining.
There is a million and one ways that the creative minds can take this spinoff. Maybe a military group that is monitoring the isolated pockets of the living, or maybe they will create a group that mirrors “The Walking Dead” group, but in another section of the country, or in another area of the world.
Will the walkers progress in this new show, will they communicate among each other or start little communities? The canvas is blank and the creative writers certainly have the paint to fill it up, so what will the new spinoff of “The Walking Dead” look like? Right now it is only ideas floating about in the heads of the writers, but the fans will most likely get the scoop once the plot and setting is down on paper!
