Season 4 of "The Walking Dead" will not be airing until October, but there are already a few juicy spoilers being dished out. The latest news is in reference to Carol (Melissa McBride,) who is a fan favorite. Viewers have enjoyed watching her character develop and there is going to be more in store when the new season airs. According to a report by Wet Paint on Aug. 28, fans can expect a few exciting things for Carol.
Warning: If you do not want to know "The Walking Dead" season 4 spoilers, then stop reading.
Fans who have been following previous spoilers and have been watching the trailers know that Carol is going to be teaching the children how to use knives. Rick also will worry about her being too brazen, which leads one to conclude that she may use her confidence and bravery in risky ways, viewers just don't know how yet.
Access Hollywood also spoke to Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn. When asked about his co-star, he said,
“You know, Melissa has not been given the stuff that she can definitely deserve and pull off and it’s definitely gonna come — everyone, I think, this coming season, is gonna be open to sussing out the world and really diving into characters that you haven’t really gotten to know."
One clip of the upcoming season 4 shows Ricks yelling to warn Carol because the walkers were getting too close while she was outside getting some water. How many other close encounters will she have? Her character certainly has evolved since the first season. She has done a complete 180 and is brave, bold and confident. But could season 4 reveal that she feels she is immortal? It has been seen before what happens when a character becomes too bold and ends up taking unnecessary risks without thinking of the possible consequences.
As for romance, this is something fans have definitely been pondering. While in season 3 she unashamedly flirted with Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus,) will they finally get together? There has been no word on that, but it seems likely that the two will not end up together. Daryl is his own person and doesn't really seem like the relationship type. Him getting too involved with someone could distract him and by reading comments on other articles regarding a possible "Caryl," most viewers want him to stay single. Even though the two characters do seem to have a bit of chemistry, it's hard to imagine them being "together."
What do you think will happen with Carol's character in season 4 of "The Walking Dead?"
