Many fans were completely shocked with the mid-season finale of "The Walking Dead" and are now wondering what is to happen to their favorite characters as the prison is no more and they are all separated from each other. On Dec. 18 Comic Book Resources shares a few spoilers leaked by showrunner of "The Walking Dead" season four; Scott Gimple.
Gimple reveals that the characters are going to stay separated for a while while they all try to heal and care for those that are wounded after the epic mid season finale battle that saw the loss of two main characters.
As was witnessed on the episode, Carl and Rick Grimes are going to be together, alone. They won't have any prison or fences to protect them from the bad things out there, and there are a lot of bad things. Rick is perilously hurt, so he is not out of the woods at all and Carl is going to really step it up as a leader just to ensure that the two of them survive and can make it back to the others, wherever they may be.
Rick will be overcome with grief and heart sick like fans have never seen before as he tries to process the loss of his baby girl, or what he thinks is his loss, so soon after losing his wife, Laurie, to childbirth and turning. Carl is going to have to be the strong one with a kill first, question later attitude, but many fear h won't be able to do it.
Can Carl step up to being the leader that he needs to be to ensure their survival or will Rick and Carl end up dead? "The Walking Dead" will be returning to air on AMC Feb. 9 with the mid-season premiere. Will you be watching?
