‘Walking Dead’ season 3 spoilers: Footage reveals Merle and Daryl confrontation

Today started off great for all “The Walking Dead” fans. On Monday, Jan. 21, not one, but two new promotional trailers for the second half of “The Walking Dead” season 3 were released via Spoiler TV. This new spoiler footage reveals confrontation between Merle and Daryl Dixon, Andrea about to make a tough decision, and more.

The first video begins with Rick and Michonne riding down the road. They, along with Carl, arrive on a town that seems to be booby trapped against walkers. Scenes of the town and the set up confirms that this could be where Rick finds his old pal Morgan – read more on the Morgan spoiler below.

After some quick shots, most of which have already been shown in previous trailers, there’s a scene that shows Merle punching Daryl, knocking him to the ground. Fans are speculating that this is only a decoy to distract the Governor’s crowd from killing them, in an attempt to save his little brother.

Andrea is seen talking to Glenn in the prison but it’s hard to understand what is being said. Then, the screen switches to Andrea holding a knife above a sleeping Governor, contemplating whether or not to attack him.

The second video, which you watch over at Spoiler TV, is a lot shorter and doesn’t show a lot of new information but it is still a lot of fun to watch. At around 20 seconds, you can see a quick shot of where the season left off in “Made to Suffer,” and it looks like Merle and Daryl’s escape.

“The Walking Dead” season 3 will return to AMC on February 10 with episode 9, “The Suicide King.” Subscribe to stay up-to-date with spoilers and “Walking Dead” news if you can’t wait for the season to return!
