Walking Dead Car Makes Appearance at Chicago Auto Show (Video)

Walking Dead fans visiting the 2013 Chicago Auto Show will be able to see the world's only zombie killing car, the Hyundai Elantra Coupe ZE (Zombie Edition) up close.

The vehicle, originally designed by Walking Dead comic book writer Robert Kirkman, made it's original debut at San Diego's Comic Con convention last year. However, this is the first time the vehicle has been seen in Chicago.

The Hyundai Elantra Coupe ZE has a few extra accessories other automakers, despite the ever imminent zombie apocalypse threat, don't yet offer. Aside from the regular safety features that come standard in a Hyundai Elantra Coupe, the 148 horsepower ZE also sports titanium wheel pikes, a carbon fiber spiked herd plow, a steel armored sunroof turret, 50 watt floodlights and, a doom whistle among other things.

The Chicago Auto Show is the nation's largest and longest running auto show. The first show ran in 1901 and continued until 1940. Due to the rationing of metal, rubber and other materials needed for the war effort, the show did not run from 1941 to 1949. The show resumed in 1950 and has run annually since then. The 2013 Chicago Auto Show will be the 105th run of the auto show. Show dates are from February 9, 2013 to February 18, 2013.

The Walking Dead mid-season premiere airs Sunday, February 10, 2013 on AMC.
