Crosby senior clean-up hitter Abby Walker crushed two three run blasts lifting the Lady Cougars to a 12-3 win over the New Caney Lady Eagles on Tuesday night.
Walker's first shot over the left field wall staked Crosby to a 3-0 lead in the Lady Cougars opening at bat. Her second blast in the fourth with two outs gave Crosby a 7-3 lead. Cheyennne Black opened the fourth with a ringing double into left field after Stephanie Cross had homered to tie the game in the bottom of the third. Alyssa Touchet replaced Black on the basepaths and came around to scored the game winner on Haleigh Swinney's single before Walker put the game out of reach.
The Lady Cougars closed the game with a five run seventh to improve their district record to 8-4 and post their fifteenth overall win of the season.
Crosby's senior right-hander notched her ninth win of the season with a complete game six strikeout, no walk performance.
Shelby Craig took the loss for New Caney.
