It’s not quite the dog days of summer just yet, but this Saturday, June 28, bring your four legged friends out for a walk in Centennial to benefit Paws & Co. Adoptions.

The event starts at Pots Tea in the Willow Creek Shopping Center at Quebec & County Line Road at 8:00 am, with registration starting at 7:30am. Registration is $5 per pet and owner and a suggested $5 donation for additional walkers. The walking course will wind around the Willow Creek neighborhood and park.

Even if you don’t have a dog, you are encouraged to come out and join your neighbors to support a good cause. Each registered pet will receive a doggie goodie bag and there’s one for the humans too.

Walkers are also encouraged to bring gently used pet supplies including collars, leashes, beds and bowls. Donations of dog food will also be collected.

There will also be an ATA Martial Arts demo, a dog-training demo, free giveaways, music and much more.

Paws & Co. Adoptions is a division of Four Paws Pet Center of Colorado. It’s a local, volunteer run, foster-based animal rescue that focuses on saving animals from shelters across Colorado and helping them find loving, healthy and happy homes. The organization places homeless animals in foster homes and then works to find a quality adoptive home for each animal.

If you can’t make it to the event, you can find out more about Paws & Co. Adoptions and learn about becoming a volunteer or a foster family on the website. You can also find a wonderful pet to adopt and can also make online donations.

The businesses in Willow Creek Shopping Center support their neighborhood and also this great cause. The event is sponsored by Pots Tea Café & Market, Juhi Johnson, RE/MAX Professionals DTC, N2 Publishing, Danita Nixon and Cindy Rayfield and As You Wish Pet Sitters.
