In a move that further solidifies their stake in the beauty and personal-care market, Walgreens has launched their new collaboration with Lebhar-Friedman publishing: Discover Beauty Within magazine, nationwide at all Walgreens as well as most Duane Reade locations.
The half-size (purse-size!) periodical features beauty-tips and product suggestions which are widely available in Walgreens and Duane Reade stores. For the newsstand price of $1.99, readers get a direct line from the professionals about current beauty trends, and personal care items that are both easily found and wallet-friendly.
To celebrate, Walgreens has partnered with Unilever, Pacific World and Nutridiet, with additional support from Milani, Shea Moisture and Colgate, to bring Suite on the Street mobile beauty bar, to New York City, New Jersey, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
Customers can stop by to receive complimentary mini-makeovers, manicures, and an overflowing gift-bag full of gifts from sponsoring brands.
