Walden Theatre has Great Expectations

Gentlemen meet corruption in the Dickens classic Great Expectations, which Walden Theatre will present on stage this week.

Great Expectations performances will continue on Jan. 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Matinees are to happen on Jan. 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. each day. All performances will take place at Walden Theatre, located at 1123 Payne Street in the Highlands area of Louisville.

Tickets for each evening show are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $10 for students. Matinee show, meanwhile, are $10 for adults, $8 for students, and $8 for seniors. All tickets can be purchased at Walden Theatre or by calling 502-589-0084.

Great Expectations is the classic Charles Dickens novel brought to life. In this production, young Pip is a is orphan who is taken in to a world of a recluse, wealth, and aspirations. Pip's desire to be a gentleman comes face to face with arrogance and corrupt acts of others.

Nick Omerod adapted the classic Dickens novel for the stage. For Walden Theatre, Alec Volz directed Great Expectations.
