WALA-TV to have new weather graphics; retire 'puddle ducky' weather animation

On the morning of Wednesday, June 18th, Michael White of WALA-TV's weather department used their local entertainment and lifestyle program ("Studio 10") to mention their plan to replace the system of weather graphics they had been using in their local news programming before then with a new system later that day during their local 4:00 p.m. news program ("FOX 10 News at 4:00 p.m."). He even said the "puddle ducky" animation he occasionally used in his weather reporting would not be used anymore at WALA-TV after the new system takes the place of the old system due to its status as a copyrighted series of images by the provider of the old system copyright (the "puddle ducky" was given a valediction, or farewell ceremony, at the end of the program).
