Bob Grip of WALA-TV recently shared his memories of his meetings with the late John Paul II (or Karol Wojtyla, as he was originally called before he became pope) from the time he was pope of the Roman Catholic Church for an article that was posted on the official World Wide Web site for WALA-TV last Wednesday, April 16th, and for a video recording about those meetings that was part of WALA-TV's local morning news program this Friday, April 25th, since the church had planned on declaring John Paul II a saint this Sunday, April 27th (the official site has text of the words spoken in the video recording).
