Wal-Mart Customer Robbed, Attacked with Brick

A customer leaving a Columbus Ohio Wal-Mart was hit in the head with a brick and robbed of her handbag in the early morning hours of December 17. As the unidentified victim was walking in the Wal-Mart parking lot at Hilliard Rome Rd. and Renner Rd., the suspect approached her and hit her in the head with a brick.

The suspect, which the victim described as a female with a shaved head, made her getaway in a dark blue or green Geo Tracker. It was not immediately known if anyone else may have been in the vehicle.

The victim was unable to give a more detailed description. However, surveillance video may help identify the suspect. The video is available on the 10-TV website. Police are reviewing the video in attempt to identify the suspect responsible for the attack and purse snatching. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have other information regarding the crime should contact police.

The victim was treated for her injuries by paramedics called to the scene.
