The current trend of tight man pants that may have been seen as a shallow copy of women's skinny jeans, has a deeper history that shares the blame with the misappropriation of safety pins. That's right, the punks. To the hardcore dispossessed teens that didn't stop sneering even to brush their teeth, skinny man jeans were the appropriately uncomfortable accessory to angry thrashing and homemade tattoos.
