Wake up and smell the bacon, people. A new contest, unveiled on Wednesday by sites like Engadget, could give the winner(s) an app and iPhone accessory that not only serves as an audible alarm clock, but an olfactory one, as well.

To win a "Wake Up and Smell the Bacon" add-on, you have to go to There you will find a link to a free iOS app which fulfills the auditory portion of the promotion. To get the full experience, though, you will need to follow the "Apply" link to reach a quiz.

Answer the questions, correctly or incorrectly, click continue, enter your information, and then Submit the answers. After the site thinks a while, you'll be told if you win or not. You can only enter once per registered email per day, but assuming you do not win (what are the odds?), you can gain an additional entry for a day by sending an email to someone or tweeting about the promotion.

The game is only open to residents of the fifty (50) Unites States and D.C., eighteen (18) years of age and older at the time of entry. Naturally, the normal exceptions are present (employees, etc. etc.).

The game runs through April 4, 2014 and there are 4,700 Grand Prizes (meaning the bacon scent iPhone attachment which plugs into your headset jack). The approximate retail value is $40, though it will be a collector's item, one might think.

Windows Phone and Android users, unfortunately, need not apply.
