That is the subtitle of Bob Smallwood’s new book, “A Leader’s Guide to Following.”
Author Bob Smallwood is a Christian, American manufacturing business leader and Chinese martial artist. His book looks at the melding of culture and what it means to our economy, environment and freedom of religion.
He answers these questions:
- How does the American work ethic apply to turning around our economy?
- How is America being conditioned to depend on government handouts instead of taking the risks needed to compete for entry level jobs?
- How can we get rid of ineffective managers, and wasteful, non-value added jobs and get hard working Americans on the front lines?
Bob Smallwood believes the solution is spiritual, by maintaining a positive individual countenance.

Bob is a “cowboy” musician, whose latest album is entitled: “Red Dirt on my Boots” with clips available on Youtube. He performs in the summer with his guitar and banjo for Rocky Mountain tourists. He is the Assistant Chief for a small Colorado mountain village volunteer fire department, and owner/lead instructor of American Hero Response Training, and he works security for a local resort. To add to his resume, he is an active volunteer of the Crossroads Ministry, a non-denominational food bank in Estes Park, CO. Most importantly, Bob is a happy Christian.
