One of the most unique and largest cable wakeboard parks, Wakeboard Atlanta, in the United States resides right in your own backyard at the new LakePointe Sporting Community and Town Center, with obstacles not available in any other park in America. The 10-acre lake and two smaller lakes on sixteen of acres cable wake board park is the first of its kind in the world.

What is wakeboarding
Wakeboarding is a surface water sport in which the rider glides over the surface of the water on a wakeboard and incorporating tricks much like surfing or snowboarding with one big difference, the rider is being pulled by a boat. The size of the wake the rider is on depends on the make and speed of the boat. A Wakeboarder can also be towed by a cable-system created just for wakeboarding.
A new Bass Pro Shops store and Atlanta Braves Spring Training site are set for the Emerson location according to Commissioner Clarence Brown and Major League Baseball. Kansas City Royals manager Ned Yost (Walt Disney theme park visionary) said LakePoint Sporting Community and Town Center is looking at 3 million visitor’s per year. Heavy hitting investors include Bartow resident retired Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox, and current Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez are looking to bring more than 26,000 jobs to construct.
A 300-acre sports complex with 16 baseball fields, 14 lacrosse fields and an indoor sports facility plus a 1000-acre retail, hotels, restaurants and amusements facilities are set for the location and is under development now.
Three tenants anchor LakePoint
Perfect Game USA, a baseball scouting service, North Atlanta Soccer Association, and LB3 Lacrosse “the ultimate sports touring destination.” Expect to see the first pitch, shot and kick this year.
