Wakarusa Music Festival is excited to announce the fifth annual Waka DJ Classic! The tour will travel through five cities, searching for the best musical talent to play at the 2014 Wakarusa Music Festival in Ozark, Ark. on June 5-8, 2014.

Waka DJ Classic will begin at Double Door in Chicago on March 27 and will continue West to San Francisco on April 8, Trees in Dallas on April 10, Cervantes’ in Denver on April 22 and will wrap up in Old Rock House in St. Louis on May 10.

DJs who are interested in competing in this year's Waka DJ Classic will submit via Interstellar Meltdown staff will select up to five finalists to perform in each local contest based on originality, musicianship, ability to inspire booty-shaking and fan feedback. One finalist from each local contest will be chosen to play as part of the Interstellar Meltdown lineup at Wakarusa 2014, based on audience votes.

The winning DJ for each contest will ultimately be decided by tallying audience votes at the end of the night, will win a cash prize, and will play for over 20,000 fans at Wakarusa Music Festival.

Wakarusa Music Festival is a grassroots festival nestled in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas where the beauty of nature synchronizes with the euphoric sounds of live music. This summer will mark the eleventh year of Wakarusa and the sixth year at the picturesque Mulberry Mountain near Ozark, Arkansas. Wakarusa has been graced by hundreds of world-class artists and continues to stir the musical interests of folks from all fifty states and beyond!
