The Seattle Sounders FC match with Montreal Impact has been moved to Sunday March 23rd due to inclement weather. The Match was originally scheduled for Saturday March 22nd but had to be moved due to snow. Start time for Sundays match will be 4pm ET.
The Montreal Impact are 0-2 after two State of Texas road losses to Dallas and Houston . "It's the third game of the season, but we need to start getting some points,"said Impact Coach Frank Klopas "It's good to be home.
Montreal will be looking to get the much needed points in it’s home season opener against Sounders FC Sounders FC who are 1-1 on the season.
Seattle Sounders FC won their home opener 1-0 against Real Salt Lake. Seattle Sounders FC then took a punch to the gut courtesy of England International Jermain Defoe’s two goal's to help Toronto FC pull off a 2-1 winner at Century Link Field.
“There were too many times when we got the ball behind their midfield line, but we didn't get the ball behind their back four. Seattle Sounders FC Coach Sigi Schmid said of the teams loss to Toronto FC.
“That's when we went back to square instead of going forward, and that's something we will work on and get better with.”
Both Seattle and Toronto will be missing two keys players to their respective offenses on Sunday.
Toronto FC will be without striker Marco Di Vaio who will be serving the last game of his three match ban . Di Vaio is Toronto FC leading score.
Seattle Sounders FC will be without the services of U.S International Team Captain Clint Dempsey. Dempsey will be serving the first of his two game ban for an off ball incident that occurred in Seattle Sounders FC loss to Toronto FC.
This is the only league meeting between the teams this season.
The Impact have won both all-time meetings between the teams, a 4-1 win in Montréal in 2012, and a 1-0 winin Seattle to open the season a year ago.
The Impact have lost their opening two matches of the season for the first time in three MLS seasons.
They started 2013 with four consecutive victories.
Sounders FC will now face four of there next five games on the road.
