But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. [Heb. 12:1-3.] (Isaiah 40:31 AMP)
There are times of waiting when the Lord seems far away. It might be for a loved one's illness. What will the diagnosis be? It may just be does that man love her? How long will she wait? Or for a young lady with child, nine months is so long.
If they can wait, if they can hope, if they can hold tight to His hand. they will have strength to love, to live, to encourage and to have peace. They'll have strength and power for joy.
They will fly like an eagle flies close to the warmth of the sun, they'll fly close to the warmth of His love.
Anything that needs to be done quickly, they'll be able to accomplish without weariness.
If they have a task that calls for steadfastness, they'll have it from their God.
God longs to be talked to, prayed to, even cried to so He can be close to us like that eagle. He'll help us, He'll talk to us to encourage and give warmth. Just hang on to Him while you're waiting.
