‘Wahlburgers’ premiere:What to expect on Mark and Donnie Wahlberg’s reality show

Mark Wahlberg is a bona fide movie star, so why is he turning up on a reality TV menu? The “Lone Survivor” star is sinking his teeth into his family burger business, set to debut on January 22.

In a Jan. 21 report by TV, executive producer Rasha Drachkovitch dished on the Wahlberg clan’s new reality show, which also stars brothers Donnie (“Blue Bloods”), Paul ( a chef), and proud mama Alma.

According to Drachkovtich, “Wahlburgers” will give an inside look at the Boston-bred family, which includes a serving of sibling rivalry as well as a semi-family feud over the direction of the business.

Surprisingly, Mark and Donnie will appear on every episode of the show, despite the fact that they both had very hectic schedules during shooting. Of course, the celebrity family has a few celebrity friends, so you can count on cameos from New Kids on the Block alum Joey McIntyre as well as Donnie’s girlfriend, “View” co-host Jenny McCarthy. There will also be some child hood pals, including a guy named Nacho. But Drachkovitch reveals that it’s matriarch Alma Wahlberg who steals the show.

While business seems to be smooth sailing these days, it wasn’t always the case for the famous family. According to Us Weekly, when the business first launched in 2011, the clan had to actually secure the previously trademarked “Wahlburgers” name, because a New York restaurant chain had a menu item with that moniker.

“Wahlburgers” premieres Wednesday, January 22 at 10:30 PM ET on A&E
