Waggin' Trail is almost here

Sign up for the Waggin' Trail 5K today!!

With warmer weather right around the corner, perfect walking and running conditions are finally in sight! There couldn’t be a better time to start training and to help the animals in our care by signing up today for the Kentucky Humane Society’s (KHS) WAGGIN’ TRAIL 5K! You can start exercising your way to a healthier, more fit physique while helping the animals at the same time. Sign up today by visiting the website at http://www.waggintrail5k.kintera.org/2010.

The more money that you raise, the more fundraising prizes that you will be able to accumulate. We will be giving away frisbees, WAGGIN’ TRAIL 5K T-shirts, re-usable shopping bags, lint rollers, hats and even beach towels to the top fundraisers. Not only will you receive fundraising prizes, but you will also receive the satisfaction of knowing that through your efforts KHS will be able to assist even more homeless animals in our community.

The area's original walk for the animals will be held at Iroquois Park on Saturday, May 22. This will mark our 16th annual WAGGIN’ TRAIL 5K, so sign up now to join hundreds of animal lovers to truly make a difference in the lives of needy animals. The 5K timed run will begin at 9 a.m., with registration opening at 8 a.m. The 5K fun walk will begin at 10:00 a.m., with registration beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The event will also include family-friendly activities, behavior demos, contests, vendor booths, music, food and much more! Be sure to bring your furry friend to the event to participate in these activities too!

Not ready to walk or run in the 5K? Don’t sweat it. Stay home and curl up in bed with your animals…and take a “cat nap.” Once you submit your collected pledges to the Kentucky Humane Society, you can pick up any prizes you accumulate at one of our locations!

Your support enables KHS to continue touching and changing lives - both animal and human. It will be a tail-waggin' good time!
