The Holiday season started off in the spirit of community when Wacka Flocka hosted several events in the name of charity. During the BET Hip-Hop Awards weekend at Metro Lanes & Games, the event attracted the likes of Ludacris, Katt Williams, Toya Wright, Shawty Lo and more The rapper who is known for club anthems such as "Let's Do It" and "Round of Applause" has a reputation for giving back to the community.
People living on the southside of Atlanta can recall Wacka Flocka's mother buying thousands of dollars worth of toys and clothes from local Toys R' Us and other retailers to donate to community children.
While being interviewed at Metro Lanes Wacka Flocka said he is inspired to make music and give back because he can relate to the situation many of the children who benefit from his charity are in.
"I was raised by a woman, so I don't mean to disrespect women when I make music like 'Round of Applause'," he says. "Because I was raised by a woman I know what women like. I just want to make music that women like and help relieve their stress by making them dance."
