June lighting work city contractors do on the W. Broadway median finishes the two block embarcadero enterprise on downtown's main street. Orange pylons and fences, set up along the median and inside lane lines, N. Harbor Drive to the downtown railroad tracks, Friday, the 13th, closed off the mid-street work areas.

Two wave shaped sculptural icons at the N. Harbor Drive intersection hold the light fixtures put in to welcome drivers, and pedestrians, to downtown San Diego. Workers will install the light poles in the full line along the palm groove length.
During construction work on the North Embarcadero Visionary Plan, the waterfront promenade draws in visitors to the San Diego Bay. The north W. Broadway walkway near the waterfront, not sidewalk paved or planted with trees, stays filled with black asphalt as the firts day of Summer comes. The ashphalt marks out the southern park line at the Lane Field hotel and park construction site.
