VV Brown, also known as Vanessa Brown, surely made fans wait for her sophomore album, Samson & Delilah. The follow up to her critically-acclaimed Traveling Like the Light, went through many changes. Originally, Lollipops & Politics was to be released yet the date kept being pushed. "Children", the sole single released, was a collaboration with Chiddy.
Since then, fans have been waiting to hear the new sound which was promised after Lollipops was scratched completely.
Brown does not disappoint. The electro set is suave, potent and atmospheric, which showcases her strong vocals but also the interesting depths of lyrical matter.
"Samson", which saw its release and that of its music video earlier this year, is a powerful visual of power, love and although it has been told before, she makes it her own. Its follow up, "The Apple", maintains the theme and adds to the music video story.
The album is out now in two versions, including a deluxe.
