Vulture + New York Magazine Festival Kicks Off May 10th

Vulture + New York magazine will present the first-ever Vulture Festival, a pop culture extravaganza celebrating the best of today’s television, music, film and more.

Vulture events will kick off with a party featuring Kelly Osbourne and a live performance from Erykah Badu.

The Vulture Festival aims to bring the witty, in-depth, critical coverage found on the web to life with two jam-packed days of events, May 10th & 11th. Tickets are still available for some events at

Guests will be treated to a once in a lifetime assortment of performances, screenings and panels featuring today’s biggest celebrities, comedians, writers, costume designers and Vulture editors. Updates are posted to Twitter with #VultureFestival.

Saturday, May 10th

David Milch and Matt Zoller Seitz

David Milch, writer and producer of Deadwood, discusses his hit show, and the art and business of television writing with New York TV critic Matt Zoller Seitz.

“Fort Tilden” Film Screening & Talk Back
The feature film debut of writers/directors Sarah-Violet Bliss and Charles Rogers, “Fort Tilden” takes viewers on a darkly comedic journey through the outer boroughs as Allie and Harper cope with creepy neighbors, unpredictable traffic patterns, indignant cabbies, and each other. The screening will be followed by a talk back and Stella Artois reception with Writers and Directors Charles Rogers and Sarah-Violet Bliss and two of the film’s stars, Bridey Elliott and Clare McNulty.

A pop-culture trivia game show, hosted by Dave Holmes (Vulture, Upright Citizens Brigade, former MTV VJ), testing the knowledge of everyone’s favorite inmates from Orange Is the New Black, including Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes), Danielle Brooks (Taystee), Selenis Leyva (Gloria Mendoza), and Yael Stone (Lorna Morello) versus cast members from New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Comedy Night
