VSA, the international organization on arts and disability, invites you to the VSA Start with the Arts Festival – engaging children of all ages and abilities in hands-on art experiences and performances! Showcasing the power of imagination and the importance of the arts in education, the annual VSA Start with the Arts Festival engages children in hands-on arts experiences, provides parents and teachers with resources for inclusive arts education activities, and features performances throughout the D.C. metro area as well as in-school workshops with the VSA Teaching Artist Fellows in partnership with the Kennedy Center’s Community Partnerships Initiative.

Hands-on art activities include building percussion instruments, learning the art of improvisation, creating mixed media "artist trading cards," and more!
