Thursday's episode of Impact Wrestling was more than just the last taping at the Impact Wrestling Zone in Orlando, Florida, it was also the night that TNA finally revealed who the VP of Aces and 8's was. According to a March 7th report by ImpactWrestling.com, the VP was revealed to be D-Lo Brown after he came out and turned on Kurt Angle who was being held back by officials after attacking Wes Brisco. Brown kicked Angle in the groin region, grabbed the microphone and revealed that he was the VP.
Brown was a mild surprise when revealed to be the VP. It definitely keeps with the theme of mid-card wrestlers who collectively form a strong faction. Unfortunately, it was quickly met with some frustrations from TNA fans as they were hoping for a big name.
Also on the line tonight was the one-man advantage for the 10 man tag-team match at LockDown. Aces and 8's gained the man advantage after Mr. Anderson defeated James Storm, winning the 3 match series for the night.
The first match of the series saw Sting lose to Devon. The second match of the series was a tag-team battle where Samoa Joe and Magnus (former TNA tag-team champions) defeated Doc and Bischoff.
LockDown takes place on Sunday, March 10th live from San Antonio, TX.
