San Diegans who live in California's senate district in Chula Vista out to Imperial County will vote on Tuesday, March 12th, for their next senator who will replace Juan Vargas, who resigned after winning a U.S. Representative seat. Tuesday's vote is the primary vote.
If no candidate in a special primary election gets a majority vote, the citizens will return for a run-off vote between the two top vote getters in the primary. Voters would get called back to the polls on May 14th. State assembly incumbent Ben Hueso is set to take a large share of the votes. A Republican or a Democrat challenger will have to earn more than a fair share to beat him.
The former head of the San Diego City Council has already done work in Sacramento on building better educational opportunities for children and guaranteeing local poor, children, and senior can make ends meet. Work on job creation has been a top priority. All life improvements Vargas made his work on an average day.
