To celebrate the 2013 Academy Awards, Bambara is featuring original specialty drinks, each designed to represent an Oscar Best Picture nominee and crafted by the bartenders in Bambara's popular gathering hotspot, The Vault.
From now through Feb. 24, every drink order will be a vote cast for your favorite and on Oscar night, the votes will be tallied and patrons will see how their selections matched up with the Academy’s. On Thursday, Feb. 21, Bambara’s mixologists will issue their predictions for the winner.
“Our Oscar-themed cocktails this year were really a pleasure to create because there is a lot of creative inspiration from the subject matter and tone of the nominated films,” said Bambara mixologist, Austin Craig. “I was able to incorporate a local Utah whiskey that relates to the old wild west into the drink for Django Unchained which I thought matched up really well with the movie's setting.”
There are nine Oscar-themed cocktails ranging from $9 to $15, including:
