Team Liquigas-Cannondale gives five finalists the chance at the job of a lifetime, working behind the scenes with the team for one week at the 2011 Tour de France. Peloton Magazine is a co-sponsor of the contest, check out the promotional video here.

The final five video entries are online and ready for fans to vote for them. The finalists: Amy Campbell, Angel Castillo,Gabriel Garcia, Joe Praino,and Derrick Young. Videos range from goofy to glorious, with a few attempts at pulling the heart-strings of viewers.

Fans vote by logging onto Cannondale‘s (http://www.facebook.com/RideCannondale) and Peloton Magazine’s Facebook pages (http://www.facebook.com/pelotonmagazine). Videos and voting capability can be accessed by first “liking” the page, then clicking the Trip de France icon on the left. Voting runs from now until Friday, June 17.

At Philadlelphia’s TD Bank International Cycling Championship race on June 5,  Peter Sagan of Team Liquigas-Cannondale was out-sprinted by HTC-Highroad’s Alex Rasmussen. Sagan had to settle for second place for the second year in a row in this star-studded race.  In other racing action, Liquigas-Cannondale’s Ted King scored the bronze medal in the U.S. Professional Road Race Championship in Greenville, South Carolina, on May 30.

Sagan and King may be called upon to support Ivan Basso at the Tour de France this year. Basso is currently racing with the Liquigas-Cannodale team at France’s Critérium du Dauphiné.  Cyclists us this week-long race to prepare for the Tour in July.

To enter the contest, fans submitted a one to two-minute video on the Ride Cannondale Facebooik page, explaining why they were the most qualified to join Team Liquigas-Cannondale.

In addition, video stars had to answer the following questions:

• How the sport of cycling has impacted your life.
• Your greatest childhood memory while riding a bicycle.
• Your most memorable moment from the Tour de France.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive:

• A trip to the 2011 Tour de France to serve as an intern for Team Liquigas-Cannondale. (Dates to be determined)
• A Cannondale SuperSix Hi-MOD with SRAM drivetrain: Ride like the pros!
• A Sugoi Team Kit (includes a jersey and bib shorts).
• 1-Year subscription to Peloton Magazine.
