Vote for Preserve!

Preserve is a really cool, forward-thinking company that makes all of their products from recycled materials. The products themselves are recyclable, too. They don't believe in animal testing, make everything in the USA and create their products to last.

I've seen their collection bins at Whole Foods, where you can drop off your yogurt cups, Brita filters and old toothbrushes along with your other #5 plastics. You can also mail your items directly to Preserve.

I've used their toothbrushes in the past and loved the idea that the package they come in is the one you mail it back to them in (postage paid). I haven't tried their other items yet, but I have my eye on the cutting board. Dishwasher safe, BPA and melamine free, they sound convenient and safe.

Preserve has been selected as a finalist with Green America for the People and Planet Award. If they win, they'll get $5,000 with which they will use to find and reward the next Local Heroes of Recycling! In short: they'll use the money they win to pay it forward to individuals who are working hard at promoting a green lifestyle in their communities. Please vote for Preserve today, here.
