Fagundez, 18, scored 11 goals this season and is he’s tied for fifth in MLS in goals scored. He's the only teenager in MLS history to score 10 or more goals in a season and all of his 11 goals have come from the run of play. Fagundez also has recorded six assists this season.
Rowe, 21, scored seven goals, second-most, for the Revs this year and leads the team with seven assists.
Goncalves heads up the defense and helped the Revolution achieve an eight-point goal differential so far this season.
Revolution players who have appeared in at least 50 percent of the team’s 29 games as of Sept. 23 – or at least 15 games – are eligible to be voted this year’s MVP. Besides Fagundez, Rowe and Goncalves, the 2013 candidates include: Chad Barrett, Scott Caldwell, Andrew Farrell, Dimitry Imbongo, Stephen McCarthy, Lee Nguyen, Saer Sene, Bobby Shuttleworth, Chris Tierney and Juan Toja.
The 2013 Revolution team MVP and award winners will be announced on Saturday, Oct. 19, in a pregame ceremony before the Revs face the Columbus Crew in the team’s 2013 home finale. Other awards that will be announced that night include the team’s defender of the year and the humanitarian of the year.
Fans who vote for the MVP will also have the opportunity to enter a sweepstakes to win a Revolution prize pack after entering their votes.
Voting will remain open until 10 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 5.
