People who enjoy the arts in New Jersey have a chance to vote for their favorite theaters, museums, galleries, and performance companies through the Discover Jersey Arts website. The People’s Choice Awards are held yearly on the Discover Jersey Arts website. The voting for 2011 Awards is underway with a deadline later this week: January 18.
According to the voting rules on the website, “Anyone can vote in the JerseyArts.com People's Choice Awards, however you must have your cookies enabled for the survey tool to work properly.” You can select from the list of nominees in each category or use the write-in option available in each category. You don’t have to vote in every category for your ballot to count.

Favorite Performing Arts Center
Favorite Professional Theater – equity and non-equity
FavoriteArt Museum
FavoriteArt Gallery
Favorite Symphony/Orchestra
FavoriteDowntown Arts Center
and more.
All ballots must be cast via the 2011 JerseyArts.com People's Choice Awards online ballot by midnight, January 18, 2011 (EST) in order to be eligible. Winners will be announced on JerseyArts.com on or about February 1, 2012.
Discover Jersey Arts (DJA)is a cosponsored project of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and ArtPride New Jersey Foundation working in partnership with other cultural service organizations statewide including the New Jersey Theatre Alliance, South Jersey Cultural Alliance, and New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism. The project’s mission is to increase the awareness of and participation in the arts in New Jersey.
