In America, there is one thing we are all certain of: all Americans of legal age, who meet voter’s requirements, have the right, privilege and responsibility to vote. Along with our right to vote comes the responsibility to place a well-informed vote. Reading propaganda and following the loudest or most visible candidate is not enough. It is vital that voters study the candidates and all the issues, great and small, in order to choose candidates that can be trusted to lead our communities in a moral and ethical manner. As Catholics, it is our responsibility to vote for the candidate that best represents our Catholic values.

The Columbus Catholic Connection: “Meet the Candidates” and study the issues forums will be held throughout Franklin County featuring candidates for the United States House, the Ohio House and Senate, as well as the issues forming the platforms for the 2010 elections. The forums are sponsored by the Consortium for Good Government. The events will usually begin at 6:30 pm with a reception, opening comments and the main forum at 7:00 pm, continuing till approximately 9:00 pm. For specific information and confirmation of dates and times which are subject to change, please contact Amy Pulles at, 614-383-8683; or visit the consortium’s website.
