Here we are ... Less than 24 hours from another year, a new beginning for many with a years worth of economic struggle, a continuing war, scandals, etc, etc. But it doesn't have to end in despair ... if you haven't decided where to celebrate the new year tonight you're in luck. There's no shortage of places to go, below you'll find a quicklist of live music to help you dance into 2010 with some fun.
If you simply can not decide for yourself the Allen Oldies Band New Year's Eve Bash at the Continental Club is a surefire bet. For one there's no cover and that beats the pants off of many shows around town who like to jack up cover prices on NYE. We're in a recession folks! And secondly Allen Hill puts forth more energy into his shows than anyone I've ever seen, a true frontman with tidal waves of energy ... Yes tidal waves.
Oh, and if you're looking for the Reckless Kelly or Bob Schneider gigs they've decided to play elsewhere than their previous scheduled dates in Houston. Mr. Schneider will be performing at the Paramount in Austin, TX while Reckless Kelly is now playing the House of Blues in Dallas. Seems fitting after yesterdays article now doesn't it?
Rock on!
