Von Trapp's adds bier, brats and bocce to Capitol HIll (Photos)

The newest bar and restaurant in the lineup from Deming Maclise and James Weimann, the folks behind Bastille, Poquitos and Macleod's brings Bavarian flavor to lower Capitol Hill. Complete with an expansive beer hall, three bars, two mezzanines and five indoor bocce ball courts, Von Trapp's is a fantasy land for the beer drinking, sausage loving public.

Von Trapp's interior is rich in immaculate craftsmanship and design and is the newest incarnation of a space that had, in a former life, housed a candy factory among other things. The 420-seat beer hall includes over 20 beers on tap divided between European classics and some of the best regional micro-brews and, yes, some of them are served in das boot.
