Von Miller is amazing.
In an NFL world obsessed with offense, Miller, a linebacker, has quickly become one of the league's rising stars.
He's a menace to opposing quarterbacks, pressuring them relentlessly, racking up 30 sacks through his first two seasons with the Denver Broncos, and he was a major reason why the orange and blue convincingly won the AFC West last year.
The way he gets after QBs is exhilarating to watch; he uses a seemingly endless supply of moves to go around, under or through would-be blockers. His spin is spectacular, the juke from left to right is ridiculous and his speed rush is blinding.
That being said, the youthful star went a bit wild early Tuesday morning as he tweeted that his Broncos would win the Super Bowl next season.
The post, which came at 1:17 a.m. MT proclaimed, “You can post this where ever.. Denver broncos will win the Super Bowl 2013#4UJEREMIAH #IGUARANTEEIT58 if you are with us Retweet”.
Can the Denver Broncos win the Super Bowl next season? No doubt.
They went 13-3 last year, Peyton Manning's first in the Mile High City, and there's little question that the team's chemistry improved over the course of the season. Manning and his receivers started clicking in the middle of the year and turned into the second-highest scoring offense in the league.
Defensively, with Miller on one side and Elvis Dumervil on the other, the Broncos sacked more quarterbacks than any other team. That consistent pressure forced turnovers, making it the most complete team Denver had seen in many years.
Still, there are some weaknesses that must be addressed this offseason – namely at linebacker, defensive tackle and running back – and if they are, Miller's prediction may have him looking like Nostradamus in about 11 months from now.
