Volusia County Sheriff’s Office investigating death of man in Seville woods

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious death in the Seville area. Volusia County Sheriff’s spokesperson Brandon Haught says deputies were called after an adult male was found “…hanged in a wooded area in Seville…” around 11:30 Saturday morning. A friend found the body in a wooded lot near Lemon Road and Church Street. Haught said the identity of the person was not being released until an autopsy could be performed by the Medical Examiner’s Office Monday. Meanwhile, the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office Major Case unit is continuing to investigate the incident.
