The Milwaukee Project Linus is just one of the organizations looking for volunteers to provide love, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized or in need of a handmade blanket, afghan, or quilt made by volunteer blanket makers.
Check with local charities, hospitals, nursing homes and other organizations to find out what types of blankets, sizes, and requirements are needed for the charity. There are many different non-profits looking for volunteers of all ages and skills. If you can provide a craft, blanket, or just a little time volunteering is very rewarding.
