Are you still in need of an idea for what to do on Valentine’s Day?
Look no further, as Volunteer Princess Cruises has you covered. Starting Tuesday, Feb. 12, their annual Valentine’s Day Starlight Dinner Cruise begins. Guests can expect an intimate, two and a half hour cruise floating along the Tennessee River in a 96-foot yacht.
A four-course dinner is to be given to those onboard. Dining choices include foods like Caesar salad, sundried tomato chicken, medallions of beef, skewer of shrimp and rolls and butter. For dessert guests will be treated to midnight chocolate cake with strawberry compote, or cheesecake with strawberry compote.
"What sets us apart from other dinner attractions in Knoxville is our ability to not only serve a delicious meal to our passengers, but to create an atmosphere and an experience that can't be beat," Assistant Event Coordinator Devon Swanson said.
Guests can also expect their own personal DJ for the night, providing many opportunities for couples to dance and have a good time during their cruise.
"The ever-changing sights along the Tennessee River make the perfect backdrop for a special and intimate evening beneath the stars."
The Valentine’s Day Starlight Dinner Cruises are supposed to last until Feb. 17, with a price of $69.95 per person. Volunteer Princess is, however, having a sale right now, lowering the price to $59.95 per person. Expect tickets to be sold out a week in advance, so take advantage of the current sale while it lasts.
For those going, boarding time is 5:30 p.m. at the Volunteer Landing Marina in downtown Knoxville. Cruise time is expected to last from 6 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.
