Join the fun Feb. 4 -14, 2010

Wondering how to fill your night with stars? How to get into the gala events of the 25th Santa Barbara International Film Festival? Your nightlife will improve greatly when you help contribute your skills to the event Feb. 4 -14, 2010. With a strong lineup of Oscar-contending films -- both domestic and foreign -- The SBIFF draws heavyweight filmmakers, stars and producers for panels and galas. Get your chance to be up close and personal with the stars.

Community volunteers are the face of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. They provide the backbone for this event. The 25th Santa Barbara International Film Festival is currently seeking volunteers to help run the film screenings, take tickets, manage lines, sell merchandise, set up and take down red carpets, and work at special events, in hospitality etc... Shifts vary from two to five or more hours. Depending upon the workload and the needs of the film festival, you may be asked to stay a bit longer or you may be released a bit earlier.

It is hard work and fantastic fun! You are thrust into the middle of one of the top 50 film festivals in the world! Each volunteer will be able to keep their 25th Annual SBIFF Volunteer Shirts and will receive Mini-Paks to attend regular movie screenings, in alignment with the number of hours volunteered. Discounts at downtown Bars and restaurants are also a perk. The Queen of Nightlife invites volunteers to join her not only to an ice cream social sponsored by Cold Stone Creamery but also to a special volunteer – only sneak peak screening of the 25th annual SBIFF Opening Night film the night before it all begins! Additionally, individuals who fulfill their part or full-time commitment to volunteering are eligible for benefits that are TBA. But most importantly you will be part of a massive event and have a great time!

Please go to the website and click volunteers to view the volunteer video and to Register.

Once registered and approved you will be able to select jobs that suit you.

You must be at least 18 years of age to volunteer for the festival. Volunteers who work parties or special events must be 21 or older.
