The Chicago marathon is less than three weeks away. If you're not planning on running the marathon this year but you want to be involved, check out your volunteering opportunities.
An easy way to get involved is by going to the marathon's website. There are still plenty of volunteer opportunities available, both on race day and at the expo occuring at McCormick Place on the Friday and Saturday before.
On race day you could work at the start corral or be a person who gives out information to the runners and the crowd. At the expo they're still looking for people to hand out t-shirts and goody bags, work at information services, and help with runner tracking, among other things.
There are many opportunities to get involved and the marathon could not happen without the volunteers that help out. Get inspired and volunteer.
