Volkswagen Super Bowl 2013 ad: W. Kamau Bell discusses if commercial is racist (Video)

A Volkswagen Super Bowl 2013 ad has recently entered controversial status ahead of the big game. The ad, which features a Caucasian American mimicking a Jamaican accent, has been discussed all over the place, including NBC's "Today" and now is being poked fun at by comedians.

According to the Huffington post, the host of FX's late night comedy show "Totally Biased," stand up comedian W. Kamau Bell, had a humorous spin on why he was offended by the ad saying:

"First of all I am enraged, because that white guy's fake Jamaican accent is way better than my fake Jamaican accent."

He also brought up Matt Lauer from NBC, and how he defended the ad saying it's reminding people of those happy times when they relax on a tropical island. However, the funny host of "Totally Biased" joked that not everyone goes away to enjoy those place.

W. Kamau Bell went on to show his list of the "Most Racist Things of All Time" which had slavery for numbers 1 through 28, and the movie "Avatar" at #29. He ran through the list, all the way down to #1,000,322 where he ranks the Volkswagen Super Bowl ad. Basically, W. Kamau Bell did not find it so racist.

The "Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell" series just started its second season on FX. The show is seen on Roanoke's Cox Cable channel 57 at 11 p.m. EST every Thursday.
