The Saints are going to hell and back as Volition officially unveiled the stand alone expansion, Saints Row: Gat out of Hell at PAX Prime 2014 on August 29, 2014.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell is set after the events of the story in Saints Row IV and will have players take on the role of Johnny Gat. When the Boss is kidnapped by Satan, Gat along with Kinzie Kensington embark on a recuse mission to hell and back.

Upon their arrival to the underworld, they are greeted by Dane Vogel (from Saints Row 2) who informs the duo that the Prince of Darkness wants the Boss to take his daughters hand in marriage. Gat must fight an army of demons and historical villains to save the Boss from the biggest disaster.

The game will feature many of the gameplay mechanisms from the original Saints Row IV while the story is set in an open world half the size of Steelport. Players will have access to a verity of demon powers and new weapons while on their quest.

Saints Row: Gat out of Hell is a stand alone expansion that is set to be released on on January 27, 2015 for all consoles and the PC. The add-on will be included with Saints Row IV: Re-Elected which will be released for the Next-Gen consoles the same day.

Saints Row IV was the fourth game in the series and was released on August 20 for the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Set five years after the events of the "Save Shaundi" ending, The Boss has been elected President of the United States but the world is in danger when the Zin Empire invades and imprisons the Saints in a virtual recreation of Steelport City.
