Volbeat live review and photos

Volbeat brought their swagger and heavy rock n' rolla-billy-metal sound to the Fillmore on Tuesday night. These Denmark rockers always bring a high level of electric energy to the stage that sparks and ignites the crowd's excitement.

Bringing the noise and sharing the stage with Volbeat were Florida metal outfit Iced Earth and metal supergroup HELLYEAH.

The members that make up Volbeat are vocalist and guitarist Michael Poulsen, guitarist Thomas Bredahl, bassist Anders Kjolholm and drummer Jon Larsen.

Volbeat was formed by frontman Poulsen in 2000 and they've been going strong ever since. They've been steadily growing a large fan base with their unique musical style and sound. It's upbeat, heavy, rockin' and it gets you on your feet.

Volbeat opened up their set with their big radio hit "A Warrior's Call," and with that we were off and running. Another song that they played that is a big crowd favorite was "Sad Man's Tongue." Frontman Michael Poulsen is a big Johnny Cash fan and he dedicates this song to the 'Man in Black," when they perform. They crushed a 15 song set and then played a four song encore putting on a killer show and leaving the fans satiated with a musical high. (See full setlist below).
