In light of recent events and a need to tighten up travel security, some airports have begun using full body scanning technology, which is too revealing, some argue.
Many people from different walks of life have an opinion on the matter and Radio Baladi has agreed to broadcast a few choice thoughts from the public. On Friday, February 19th, Radio Baladi is requesting that listeners call in to voice off about the recent use of full body scanners.
Callers should be prepared to address the following prompt: "FULL BODY SCANS IN AIRPORTS is the topic this morning as we speak with Christian and Muslim leaders and others to determine if there are issues religiously. Do you support or oppose full body scans at airports?"
Radio Baladi will be broadcasting on WNZK Radio 690, which Dearborn area residents may call in at this number: 248-557-3300 (for Chicago, listeners can call 708-493-1530). More specific details are below
February 19, FRIDAY 7-8 am/8-9 am (Michigan) "RADIO BALADI" Arab American/Middle Eastern Hour simulcast in Chicago, Dearborn, Windsor, www.RadioBaladi.com

I'm all for it if it improves security... but it doesn't stop me feeling SUPER uncomfortable about having my nekked body seen on a very unflattering computer screen by some stranger. I'm just peed off with the morons who've brought this on! Argh! Now I gotta be seen naked just to travel! It puts me off travelling.
Isn't it ironic though? The extremists who oppose the lack of moral decency in western society that is the cornerstone of Islam, cause a situation that takes that decency away. Ironic and moronic.
Got something to say?
