The same night that the Jamaican vocalist from Team Adam was crowned the winner of NBC's hit singing competition, up went a listing in the iTunes store for her first album under Universal Republic Records, the label associated with The Voice. It offers fans the chance to pre-order the still-untitled album, and shows a release date of March 25, 2014.
Only one track is listed so far: "Tumbling Down," the song that Tessanne performed during Tuesday's Voice finale, which you can watch here using the embedded media player.
That track was co-written by OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder, the show's new in-house songwriter and producer, who told Carson Daly during the finale broadcast that he expects to continue working with Tessanne starting in January.
If it's a quick turnaround for Tessanne Chin, that might be because NBC is turning around The Voice faster than ever before. An ad during Tuesday's broadcast announced that Season 6 will begin on Monday, February 24 - just over two months from the Season 5 finale.
Should the date listed on iTunes hold true, that means that the search for Tessanne's successor will begin a full month before she releases her first album under her winning record deal.
